  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc cr,wr125 or wr150 silencer on a wr300??

i know they wont fit. thats a quick job with a TIG. my question is what will happen using that little silencer on that big engine. will it just be super loud?

Shorty = more low end snap and more noise.

I've got the bikes separated right now, but I can mock up the 125 silencer to the 300 tomorrow. I'm guessing the 125 silencer has too narrow a connector to fit onto the 300 pipe, but you never know.

That short sure does look good!
And I think I know some people with extra's who might be looking to offload.

Not happening. They're way different

i got an aftermarket front pipe for my 125 and when i recieved it there was a big difference in the silencer and pipe,i found out that there are two systems on the 125 so you need to be sure what year backbox you have so you can get the matching front,as for diameter,i dont know but with the noise issues now i think its better to run stock or aftermarket pipes that are made for the job!loud pipes are ruining our sport in the uk.

I know they are different. I wanted to see what it would look like. I have a spare stock 300 silencer. I could cut the connection pipe off and weld it on the 125 pipe. I can make it look stock. Just wondering how it would look and sound.
