• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

As I have known the owner of TT for many years I got to see this product form the initial design stages to the final product and everything in between. This has been a product that cost piles of $$$ to develop and countless hours to get to market. It is VERY full featured both for the bike computer stuff including temp etc and the GPS side of it. This all in one wonder does EVERYTHING. It also has a new and very advanced screen that is VERY nice and super EZ to read in full sun light. This product is well thought out and feature laden. A must for any Ds or adventure rider. Quick data transfer via mini SD card slot. Will also be able to be upgraded in the near futre for MX use to use as a lap timer / info sorce and uses the GPS so you don't even need to hit a button or indicate a start point. Great stuff.

We have them here...

I emailed HDB today to see if they're working on a billet protector for the Voyager so the install would be bolt on replacement for the Vapor I'm using currently. No answer yet. Maybe I could mod one of the TT protectors to fit the HDB uppers? Any idea Kelly?

I happen to know this******************************************************************************** The billet protector messes with the GPS antenna. I think there will be one, and the front will be rubber or plastic or something. I do listen sometimes****************************************

How much work would one of these be to install on a bike that already has a stock computer such as an 08 te450? I like the idea of this thing but I don't want to hack up my wiring harness in case I want to go back

Ah, that makes sense. Hadn't thought of that consideration. I was wondering why even TT's site only showed brackets and not protectors. Some of the weird crashes I have might put it in danger. Guess I should stop crashing

. Regardless, I've heard nothing but excellent words about TT's support, so if the unit were to get dinged up, it could probably be repaired/replaced promptly.

Ya, there were some HUGE crashes Idaho this summer, and they kept on working!! Even all crooked! They are super strong! BF says there was an antenna that plugs into it that you can put elswhere on the bike? But cant remember if that was on the final ones.

Damn Kelly... I'm saving for a damper for my new GasGas, and now THIS!? You're going to bankrupt me!

I heard back from Paul at HDB today

. There are prototype protectors being made and remade as we speak. I'll post pics of them once he gives me the ok to do so. I don't know that he doesn't want them posted but I figured I'd better ask.

I have the Vector from trailtech with remote switch. Does the Voyager also have an adjustable trip meter? I was just browsing their site and it doesn't appear to: I know for most it would be redundant.. but?

Ozzie you should be the first to download an Australian trail system! :):applause:
