  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Considering to buy TC 250 Mod 2010

Husqvarna
AA Class
I'm considering to buy a brand new TC 250cc Mod 2010 which is present under sale very good price ......localy here due to 2011 model.
I know it has the smallest & lighter 250 engine.

I own a RMZ 450 Mod 2007 and realized that its too much power for me to handle only four speed and pulls very hard ,
dealer is willing to trade my bike with some money diffrence.

What's your opinion ???
I weigh 87 kilos , will the bike perform ???? with my weight.
Has this model faced any problems I should consider.

Thanks
Petros

I think you'll like it. I like mine and I'm coming off of bigger bikes, too.

I weight 84kg and it seems to have plenty of power to pull me around. We were in some pretty big hills on Sunday and I was a little unsure of how it handle that, so I was actually attacking them a little too hard at first.

So far everything seems fine. I need to do a little jet and suspension tunning, but that's normal stuff. If I can get that dialed and it holds up good, I'll be very happy with it.

Motorhead , thanks for your ONLY reply.

Well to be honest , I have come down to two bikes ........ as candidates ,
I'm pretty sure that a 250 cc bike will serve me better..... but I'll see abt that.

1) Husky TC 250 Mod 2010 on sale 6000 euros as 2011 mod in production
2) Kawa KXF 250 Mod 2010

As said abv I own a RMZ 450 K7 ( Mod 2007 four speed ) &
for my enduro riding I own a KTM EXC 250 Mod 2010 2 stroke
on sale my WRE 125 2006 in order to help my budget off...
So I'm on a hunt for a motocross four stroke bike...

Haven't been on a Kaw 250 but my son has the 2010 TC250 and with proper jetting and a Leo Vince exhaust it flat out ROCKS!

For MX I would stick with your RMZ 450. I'm sure that the TC250 would do fine, but I would stick with the power of the 450.

Maybe choke the exhaust outlet down (on the RMZ450) with a quiet insert to mellow the power a bit?

Just returned fm race track where
Kawasaki performed test ride for KXF 250 & 450 2011 mod.
I can say that there was not a big crowd there ..... ( maybe due to Saturday ??? or little cold ??? ) this gave me ofcourse the chance to test ride both bikes several times over & over again !!! and get a clear picture.

The track was very difficult which I attended first time with HUGE double jumps ......

Conclusions ......
the KXF 250 is very little for me after being used to riding my 450 and I mean power wise!!! , you have to use higher ratios to be quick on the track ........
Although first year edition as fuel injected and was informed that its one of the most powerful 250 fm competition.

the KXF 450 is a weapon !!! really HUGE power but very simular to my 450 and no reason to change actually for my riding style ....

I'll attend next Sunday to Husky event all goes well and test ride the TC 250 & TC 450 and revert....

Of course I'm a weekend hobiest not a profesional ......
Here's a vid on a track with my RMZ 450 ....

Finally after huge thought , I just ordered the TC449 2011 !!!
Considered that the TC 250 will not do for me ( powerwise )
after riding my RMZ 450.
Incase I want less power will start out with soft selection
TC449 is fitted with a dual mode switch on the handlebars, which allows access to two different fuel injection / ignition timing maps to provide a softer power delivery for low traction conditions. As per info with soft selection delivers power like a 350cc....

Sold my RMZ 450 & WRE 125 in order to budget up this new purchase.....

Husky dealer will deliver bike with in 20 days time although the TE 449 is available but I wanted a motocross bike as already own a two stroke Enduro KTM EXC 250 2010.

Any one own this bike ??? any impressions would be very helpfull

Wow congrats! I don't need 450 power but I sure would like to ride one. I think it's gonna be a sweet bike.

That 449 is reported to have very smooth power also ... makes it sound like it will be easy too keep it under control ... these bikes do make alot of torque to control and the 449 is also reported to have very good traction due to the FS mounting ...traction is very important (at least to me) with controlling any 4t bike ..

Myself, I don't want any 450 4t ..too heavy ... I'll take a 250 2T next to go along with my 08 TXC250 ...

These 250 4t do feel a little 125ish after riding a while but they are very fast and handle well ... U just gotta run the Husky > 8G to get the speed out of the bike ...

I think you will like that 449 :) alot ...
