  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

complete DOT light kit for '13 txc310r

REV5

Husqvarna
Looking for a dot light kit for my txc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

If you want a full on dot kit why not just sell it and buy a TE. Even if you buy the kit, the bike will not be Dot approved. The TXC has none of the dash or ignition parts so you'll need not just the lights and binkers but speedo, relays and a lot of time wiring.

Now if you're just looking for head & tail light Mine uses a polisport for the headlight and Acerbis for the tail.

I'm also looking for one, but Baja Designs are pricey (hear they are worth the money thought). My TXC came with a street title and a plate (don't ask don't tell), but as far as the state is concerned it is a road bike.

I'm wondering if the Baha Designs flush mount SII led can be just mounted in the front plate and used as a headlight...would it be street legal? It is going to be pretty cool for sure.

I called baja designs and the guy didnt know what kit worked with my bike. Ill call later today and speak to someone else.

I used the Tusk kit + universal headlight on my TXC.

The led lights like the Baja Designs are great (have a Rigid Industries on my 2-stroke) but they won't be DOT approved.

Could you post a pic of your RI set up. Can you ride at night comfortably? I'm not concerned with DOT certification, as long as it is reasonably safe and decent. The RI Dually flood is a lot cheaper than the BD equivalent.

I can get off the trails at a comfortable speed (my 2-stroke isn't plated and this light would not be nice to oncoming traffic). Mine is the driving pattern.

Sol, which Tusk kit did you use? I can't find one specific to the 2013 TXC. 2008 TE250 is as close as I'm finding.

I used one for a Husaberg. The only differences in the kits are what pressure switch is included (brembo or nissin threads) and if the bike has its own battery or not. So basically just pick any bike that has brembo brakes and a factory battery

I just put a Tusk wiring harness and headlight swith on my 310.

it works okay but the wires from the switch are a little small...like they would be better to trigger a relay instead of the headlinght. Dont use any bulb more than 35 watts!
