• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I sent Coffee (Dean) a PM with no response and heard others are having trouble contacting him. I dont need anything just concerned at this point. All OK from those that know? Maybe just to busy to be here right now?

He posted on a few things early in May....and nothing since. I also hope that all is well with Coffee and hope he shows up again soon.
 
Coffee is doing fine, he had some internet issues for a while as well as some personal obligations that needed to be fullfilled. He is not very visible on the site lately but has been working in the background to try and keep things updated. Take heart though, you always have me around to fuulfill all your needs (well almost all).:cheers:

Nothing wrong with having a real life ... I think I'm about ~2 yrs from being able to go back to a real, life myself, like before ;0) ...Just a near-term goal I'm hoping just evolves and works out without much real effort ...

And, if Coffee can turn this site over to you 'ADMIN' guys, he picked a good crew :)

-- had to edit out the virtual word ... Confusing myself on what is real and not real ... :)

I ran into a guy on another site who was frustrated that he sent in $10 for a few stickers and hasn't heard back in 2 months. I'm assuming Coffee is the only one who would have access to those but I'm sure he'd like to get those.
