  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch problem

ozzie

Husqvarna
AA Class
My 2008 TE450 has been sitting idle for the last 3 years due to an accident and its time for me to get back on the horse
So the probs I have is a broken decompression mount on the master cylinder and no clutch pressure. They tell me an o ring is stuffed in the slave cylinder is this true and is their a permanent fix for this
Also thinking of a auto clutch any thoughts
cheers Kel

When I was an Italian Husky 450 guy (TC450,TE450,TXC450) I always was after a bullet proof clutch, these machines seemed to frequently have clutch issues especially with the slave, O-rings, piston, leaks, cylinder and piston wear etc. etc.
This company appears have the solution and they cover many brands and models with their products.
One local guy here in San Diego installed one on his 2006 TE510 and never had an issue again.

I lose clutch action after it's been ridden for about 15 minutes now (have 6,700 miles on it) and will wait about 5 minutes, after shutting the engine off, and it comes back to life, but only for another 5-10 minutes of riding, then I lose my clutch again. having it picked up & taken to the nearest Husky shop now....very sad.

The only thing that changes in 5-10 min is heat. I haven looked at the design of these clutch systems yet as I haven't had a problem but if I had to guess your slave cylinder is getting hot and not sealing proper

You have 6700 miles on a 2013 te310?

It is a quick and easy fix : all you need is a new 021 oring ( I had some in my paintball stuff ) to replace the one which must be shot in the slave. That is if the surface inside the slave is still ok. If it is really worn, you will have to get a new slave because even a new oring would not sit and seal properly.

I just found white specs on the resevoir and this morning bled it, replacing fluid. It was fading when hot but would fully come back stopped for 30 seconds or pumping it a little. Since it comes back I discount a seal but curious what may cause the debris. Old fluid or possibly braided hose liner?
