Hello all,
I have a 2007 TE 510 that needs a new clutch in a bad way... Both baskets are grooved badly, and the drive plates are blued/ warped (I found my dragging issue
) parts are becoming hard to find for the old girl, so does anyone know if a similar year TE250 clutch assembly will work in the 450/510? I have a sourced an almost new clutch assembly (inner and outer basket, friction and drive discs) so I could replace all the worn components in one move.
Some research shows it may be possible, but I'm curious if anyone has taken the leap due to parts availability issues? I'm sure Hall's cycle has everything I need, but I'm hesitant to drop the coin on all new parts considering the age and residual value of the bike.
Thanks.
