• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch adjust

wastewater

Husqvarna
C Class
Just put a new clutch in TC610 2000(fibre and steel plates).
But the grab on the clutch seems right at the end of lever.
Can it be adjusted so it grabs earlier?
This hasnt happened on any of my other bikes.

Do you adjust it at the basket itself?(screw adjustment on the front of clutch).

Any help would be great.

Did you try adjusting the cable on the bars? If you screw it in more it will let out
quicker if that's how you like it. I prefer more how you described as in letting out
at the end. Makes for easier two finger clutching when you're in tight terrain or in a
tight spot.

Mine also only takes when the lever is almost against the grip. Tried to adjust by using screw adjuster next to cltch lever, but not much change.

Maybe getting a two finger clutch lever or sawing off part of the lever?

Hi rancher1,

Please excuse my question-I'm not technical at all. What is the basket you are referring to.

I (we) have adjusted the adjusting screw anti-clockwise at the clutch lever so theat the screw is almost all the way out, and still the clutch takes/releases when the lever is quite close to the grip.

Ideally I would like the clutch to take/releases when the clutch lever is almost fully released i.e as far away from the grip as possible to make two finger operation easy. Currently I still have to use all fingers to operate the clutch lest the lever pinches my last two fingers.

What do I have to do to fix this?

There is another clutch adjustment on top of the crankcase.

Or it could be that your cable has stretched?
