• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Chinese Radiator UPGRADE

That one has the spigots on the outside like the ones I currently have. The only hose I should have to replace is the lower hose right? Already got that on order from Bills.

i know, like i said the listing for the same number changes. Email them via eBay and tell them what you are looking for. Maybe they can look up my order by name and then you know they are the right ones. yes just the lower hose.

Patiently waiting!

Dear gpi_racing,

Do you have the radiators for the older husky 125 with the lower radiator hose outlets on the inside
of the radiator? My friends shane and Kelly both bought them form you but I
cant seem to find them listed.

Thanks

Jake

Later,

They asked me to verify the picture of their product against the rads on my bike. They were the same. They shipped them to me, quickly. I put them on and had no issues.

I had Mylers switch my tanks so the spigots were on the inside. I think 35$ And all I changed was the lower hose.

I thought about going that route, but after all the problems people are having with the stockers, I decided to go with this "upgrade" :)

I also assume you had to pay for shipping both ways?

Yes I did pay for shipping. To do it over, I would go the way you are.

When I tear down the 450 (could be years from now), I will send those rads to mylers. I've heard nothing but good things, and they seem super reasonable on pricing too.

I have been riding around with a bent (not leaking) radiator long enough. I am going to finally replace it, and then send the bent one to Mylars for repair.
Have any of you ordered the chinese radiators available all over ebay in the $80 to $100 Dollar range? Any feed back?

It would only take a few days to repair your existing radiator, put your bucks into that imho. Oh and if not already doing so put on some radiator guards.

I went with the GPI rads on ebay for my WR300 and they're working great. I would never attempt to fix a stock rad. They're garbage.

I merged your thread which was in 4st with the previous thread in 2t - then I move the thread to common topics.

Just trying to be as helpful as possible.

Awesome, thanks for all the info. The stock rads ate junk. My sons started leaking for no reason what so ever. JB welded...so far ok. I will buy the Chinese "upgrade" for both of our bikes.

I have some of the chinese rads for my CRF450R. They are extremely well built and are dual core which gives more cooling capacity. Came with a decent rad cap too. They fit perfect and only cost me $92 for a pair to my door. The ones I got were from winner racing. For that price a guy could keep a spare pair in the shop. They appear to make a zillion different types of rads. I am already considering them for the 630SM. First thing I checked was how close the CR rads were. Cam.
