• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Those are all the pictures I have worth posting, had a great time :applause:

Thanks to everyone involved!!!

I'm not terribly sure how many showed up to the event (50? 70?), but what surprised me most was the number of non-Husqvarna riders who would ride in, test ride a few bikes, then go back to their own camp elsewhere. Based on the looks on their faces I've got a hunch there will be several new Husqvarna riders in the future. :)

My first post! I was the beginner rider hanging onto Wallybean's coattails following in his substantial dust! It was a pleasure to meet everyone in Bend. A great group of people all having fun! This is not something either Walt, or I, am used too! We both work at golf courses. Golfers are not happy people. I look forward to another get-together where I can get more lessons from Walt, meet many of you again, and of course, drink beer! Thank you to everyone especially Chris, Bill, Bryon, Dean and Tammy. Tammy, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I wish you a speedy recovery. And thanks to Wallybean for leading me astray!

Welcome.. though you joined a year ago. :)

Good to meet you!

Looks like it was a ball! Fortunately or unfortunately, depends on the point of view, I'm following my son's football team around the state for the playoffs. So maybe next year.

Had a great time, just wish our camp selection was a bit better... We were only a minute away but it might as well have been a month. The riding was stupid fast as is standard for China hat, the throttle stop on the 125 was put to the test. Really enjoyed the 125 out there, just a really fun platform.

Spotted Woodschick out and about...

And I am guessing this is Eric

My wife got to ride China hat for the first time and loved it.

He had to switch to my 125 after the FMF pipe broke on his.

Even stopped to smell the roses, so to speak...

Thanks Kevin. Had a great time! You put Walt to the test, so you are my hero! With regard to keeping Walt in line, I am completely unqualified for that task. And the kickstand is now out of warranty he tells me! Pull over, pull over now****************************************!!

Hi, John! Thanks for the well-wishes, and thanks for letting me ride your bike...and letting me offer it up to others to ride, as well  That was awfully nice of me, wasn't it? :D
Looking forward to riding with you and Walt again soon!

This should be trail 45 on Saturday, now known as Woodschick trail...
Click for video...

Based on the pictures it looks like the incident was just after 4:05 or so?

Later,

Yep, you're exactly right, Jake! Wouldn't you know, it was probably the easiest section of that trail, too... Riding out wasn't so easy, though...I had a few pucker moments through the rocks with only one hand on the bars. It helps to dial the damper up a notch

I really dug that trail, the rocks and little step-ups and stuff kept it interesting and also kept the stupid-fast speeds down. It's more like what we're used to ridiing, unlike the other dragstrip superspeedway
trails out there :)

Thanks for posting up the videos, and it was nice to see you again!
