• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Tecate Enduro practice, this is one of the more rocky trails we have along with overgrown bushes. My arms were bloody with scrape/scratches, that first hit really whacked my left. As usual most of those rock section are sharper/steeper than they look here. Before the fork mod trails like this were impossible for me ride under control, Im just hitting stuff square on and mostly going straight now, before I would have been thrown right off the trail. we only did 25 miles...

Awesome trails, without a doubt a great place to test the new suspension! Maybe you should consider and enduro jacket ;)

looks completely different.... seems like the rebound is different because the front is bouncing back up like it was in the first video

funny I thought the visual would be more noticable, and I guess because its not flailing me all over the trail it is. the feel is 10x better and it just floats over those sharp rocks now

I forgot mention I still need to get my feelers correct for the header section of the pipe. My FMF gnarley is up at pacific crest pipe repair and when I got back to the truck my oem pipe was really dented and my CF cover has a big chunk blasted out of it, I dont even remember taking that hit....

Today i was pinning the thing out in the more open single track, ( plus I had this dang kid who hauls ass right on my rear wheel pushing me) that stuff there is so freaking hacked with loose rocks any RPM has the thing totally unsettled, that's why I like the 300, lug up a gear very soft rev the thing and its nutty fast. side note at 41 miles I went on reserve, I got back to the truck at about 50miles with a quart or so remaining. So at best 50 miles can be done with my current carb set up.

I could totally tell it looked different... mostly on rebound but that could've been it blowing they the stroke and coming back up fast

Im still getting used to the machine, but today in our regular area I was feeling her big time...very happy. Just a couple little tweaks but I'll wait until I re install the FMF Gnarley with the Turbine core 2 muffler which is base set up. I want just a little smoother transition onto the pipe, not too soft she needs to be burley, but with just a smoother pull from lugginto pipen it.

Props to you. Our opinion of "fun" is different, I'd smile as I sent my enemy down those trails!!!

AHHHRGG! THAT F*****G HURT! Haha lol. You are a badass!

Too much racket from the chestmount! At first I thought it was constant brush pummeling, I was relieved to hear it in the open as well. You guys are crusty.

Definetly smoother, would be busting a moose in front an riding the heck outta that place!
Awesome i wanna go.
