• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

Chad Reed - Husky for 2014

Reed tweeted some pictures of a Husqvarna billboard and several other Husqvarna items ..... He's a jokester and loves the "tractor watch" so it's hard to tell, but it is more suggestive than just a white fender.......

I hope that CR22 does well on that bike but I expect lots of drama from the younger fans that know little of the Husqvarna brand.

Well, this is interesting;

At the Motocross of Nations you will see a 300cc 2-stroke Husqvarna

But, this is not;

They are not a KTM, they are Husqvarna, and we had a short time to make our own bikes for Husqvarna. This will split more with the second and third model ranges.

I also have a feeling that Andy Jefferson will be the new Husky race team manager here in the states.

Andy J and Derek Sorenson were with FAR at the Unadilla GNCC and I'm pretty sure Andy J was at the Black Coal Enduro...

Just puttin' 2 and 2 together...adding a little fuel for the feeling...

It looks like no Reed for Husky. Taken from a racerX interview.

So basically doing the math here, we got a KTM or a Kawasaki for you. Can you rule out a Husky deal that’s been rumored?Husky’s not ready to come into a program in the U.S. just yet. It sounds like they’re a few years out. At this point no, I won’t be riding Husqvarna.

How does he know how many years out they are .... unless he's been talking to them.

They probably didn't think Reed would cost that much lol. All they need is a good pro contingency and we'll see plenty :)
