That bike or one just like it sits at Bills Shop. Fun to look at. No, he will not sell it, asked several times.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Some Pics of the one at Bill's.I just want to see a husky on the pro MX/SX start line on TV. We haven't seen this since Lamson (2002)/Preston (2001). As I recall, Preston won a National race on the CR 125. I don't care if its an up and coming privateer or a seasoned pro like Chad Reed, I look forward to seeing a Husky get the main event hole shot and maybe win a few races.
Here is Steve Lamson on the Ferracci Husky

I'll go with Reed and Peick together on team 22. Be good for Reed to be around a hungry and skilled youngster - be good for Peick to be around a guy who's been there and done that.

If the bike has husky graphics everyone will say he sucks because of the bike. If the bike has ktm graphics it will be because chad is past his prime since dungey is winning on it. different public perceptions even though they are both ktms.
I have seen them pop up on ebay a time or two, probably about your only bet on snagging some.
No, he rides a Honda now and other riders do much better on a Honda (eg: Barcia).

My point exactly. Right now public opinion is that something is wrong with Chad. He is sick, past his prime, or he just can't gell with the new Honda. If he rides a KTM next year and has the same results public opinion will be the same as this year sin ice Dungey can win on it. But if it is a Husky and he finishes the same as this year public opinion will be that Husky's suck. Even though the bike will be very close to what Dungey is riding. Most punk teenagers who only follow MX don't give a crap if KTM owns husky and probably don't even know they own husky. So they have even less chance of knowing that next years KTM's and next years Husky's will be almost the same bike.

Teaser posted by CR22 on twitter yesterday...
Looks like CR22 not be riding Japanese in 2014 and it doesn't look orange! Have't seen any formal announcements yet. Big news if he gets on the Husky!
lots of assumptions, because they are gold anodized they are Ohlins?? I've seen and you all have seen Gold Showas, Gold Paiolis, Silver(nat) Showas, KYB, Zokes, Red Zokes Blue KYB, Black zokes etc etc etc its only a color basically a "paint job". That said, I do agree that the gold does look like the s
Ohlins gold.
A White Kato fender.....but he shows red base sponsor stickers....
Chads a winner, who ever approaches him and vice versa that can come up with the best package not only to race but very importantly to make money he will go with, all the bikes at that level (Big 6 now....or Big 5.5) can be competitive.
PS this is why they call the break the silly season.
Big 6? What is the 6th brand? I count 5. Honda, Yamaha, KTM, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.
If Reed is healthy, he is way faster than Dungey. Don't forget Millville,View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1-NPF08AKA
, blowing by RV2 for the lead, big crash, then gets back on for a 14th place finish. He's definitely the toughest guy riding AMA MX/SX today.
