My day opened up at last minute and nobody could ride. I still wanted to ride so flipped up the mirrors and explored the fs roads just outside cle elum, Wa. Theres a maze of fs roads that you could spend years exploring and with views to die for so I couldn't resist...

I also took a side road that got more and more and more overgrown till finally it turned into single track. It was probably the most scenic single track riding I have ever done and probably scariest. The ledges and steep hills where just out of my confort zone for a solo ride. I turned back after a couple miles. Figured I would do my research and or come back with more riders. These picts sort of show it. It was interesting too because it wasn't marked and you could tell it had been a while since another bike had been through...yet it was maintained with older dirt bike tracks on it. I am still researching it. It may be a boot leg trail.

Hitting 60 mile mark the bike surged and quit. Flipped the knob to reserve and on I went thinking I got another 30 miles as reserve means another gallon. at 70 mile mark it surged again and sputtered. Uh oh....it was 99 degrees out I wasn't gonna push this thing 4 more miles to my rig. I looked and there was a couple ounces in the tank on right side so I flipped bike over and it started right up. Rode another 2 mile and sputtered again. There was still gas so..I jiggled it again, prayed and off it started again. I eeked to the truck two miles later. Talk about a close one. There was no way I was walking more than a mile in that heat-lol.
