• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

CafeHusky World Headquarters Gets A Trail!

Last weekend Eric and I met up with our buddy Dan (Manic) out at CH's World Headquarters near Napa. Our hosts Dean (Coffee) and Mark wanted to get some trails built on the property and we were all too willing to help. Hey, it's tough work riding virgin territory and looking for trail opportunities but, hey, someone's gotta do it...

We met up with Coffee on his TR650 and Mark on Coffee's TE250. Dan and Eric were on their Huskys and I was on my tiny GasGas...the perfect vehicle for scouting and and cross-countrying...riding where there are no trails. Did I mention it was a simply stellar day?

We talked about what Mark and Dean wanted, then we rode around the perimeter...well, as best we could with no available trails...and kind of got a feel for the land. We discussed routes, possibilities, and our good fortune to be doing this kind of stuff on fantastically beautiful land with the blessing of a friendly land owner, all under crisp blue skies...

WOW! awesome property to ride. Too bad I missed out, I live near Napa. when is the next get together I am in. I bet a TE511 would absolutely kick A** there. email me @ ramiller24@hotmail.com I am more than willing to help with the trail work, or any other work for that matter. Including pitchin in for lunch and cold ones.

Manpower would be good. Shovels, chain saws, manual labor, walking up/down extremely steep hills - dawn till dusk - repeat. If that sounds like fun, come on up. :)

That would have been a real hoot, what very pretty country side.
It could be paralax error but is that bike chain not straight?
That's what I thought also............but it seems parallel to the swing arm edge.......so, camera lens bow?
