• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cafehusky Manuals ...... gone ?

Auto Lover ...
Just went for a look at some of the manuals on here. When I click on the PDF file I get a page up saying "This site has just stepped out for a bit".

What's all this about ??

If that is the case, it would be nice if someone said something !

I thought the new owners of Husqvarna were keen to promote their roots !

There are many sites across the internet that have copies of the files. As far as I am aware, they are still there.

Even Craig's Husky Club news letters have gone, along with the Sudco tuning manual. The others I think are still there.

I sent the links for the 70's manuals and service bulletin to a friend over a month ago and they weren't working then. I wonder if the new Husqvarna ownership is requiring a users fee for the service manuals and other stuff to be available on Café Husky? If that's the case then maybe HVA-Factory agreed to pay it for the 1980 and later manuals I see on their website?

Not only are the manuals gone,so are the cafe husky administrators.I sent a PM to Mr Coffee and also received no response. This is beyond strange that cafe husky will not lay it out on what happen.Has any other Husqvarna information been removed elsewhere on the site?

My guess... and it's just a guess... is that the bill hasn't been paid on the hosting site where the attachments are stored? :excuseme:

Yes that is what happened. the manuals and parts fiches were not on CH....just the links. Hosting site where they were linked too is off the air. Trying to moderate as best as I can but a 1 man band and not the owner here so cant give any more an answer than that.
