• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

o.k. guys and gals, let's keep the voting going. Make sure to get all of your pals to vote. We'll let this thing run it's course, then set up a way to order.

Oh well, sorry....but I ended up getting some trick looking red, white and blacks.:excuseme:so I'm out.

Due to the relative lack of interest in this project, I think I'll just drop it. We had a good number of folks vote, but it seems no one noticed it much after I bumped it, or could not find it. At any rate, there isn't enough interest in this to validate me spending the time on it, though I would have loved to do it. I know it would have been awesome.

Thanks to Coffee for at least letting me take a swing at this. Too bad it didn't work out. Maybe sometime in the future after the membership has had time to gain a little more strength, there might be enough interest to justify this project.

Thanks Dean.

Just found this post. If the project comes back to life, I'd run red/white/black the Victory stripe on my 09 TE310. Nice touch with the Husky mug!

I really can't tell if there is interest or not in Cafe Husky graphics. Perhaps when there is more time then more well defined samples could be developed for people to voice their opinions on.

Graphics are tough to develop because once people see more finalized samples they can voice an opinion, but to get those finalized samples requires input from the people - catcha 22.

just saw this today- thanks for the efforts
we need more graphics options-

I use a clear oversize tank. I would like some color however the glue wont last and my stickers would fall off and end up on some endangered strain of manzanita. Leave no trace, is what they say.
