  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Cabin Fever Anyone?

A Class
Well after two weeks of extreme cold temps today hit mid 30's and I couldn't take it anymore. I have ben on ebay and ordering from halls to get two bikes up to par. Last night I finished my 08 and couldn't resist 8" of powder over 4" of couch cushion! I took some cell pics of the bike and the carnage my poor yard has taken today

Yeah, cabin fever for sure! Checking the weather forecast everyday. Might be able to get out by the end of this month.:applause:

Lots of action in the Northeast.... We have 2 mud and snow scrambles series going by me, NETRA had the Snow Enduro today in about a foot of snow, J Day Series had a Winter Race today. Don't like deep snow... Ice Racing in full swing. Cabin fever is a state of mind! :oldman:

When the temp raises that much from those low numbers, it like a heat wave hitting and it will only be 35 degrees? ...

I got an 08 WR250 also .... It was a good yr for these WRs... Mine just runs flat out good every ride ...

Glad to hear you cured your case of cabin fever with some fun on your bike. I rode my ATV the other day to cure my case. The snow was just to deep to ride my Husky or my KTM..

Ice on the snow would make it easier because the snow doesn't push away as easy like in the video. Ice screws make it very doable. Heated grips would be helpful too.

Wow that looks like it would whoop the day lights out of a lot of riders I know including myself. I thought the legendary sands of New Jersey were challenging to ride,

I've got cabin fever and I'm in Cali. I went down hard Jan 18th and broke my tib/fib and ankle. Gonna be a while. Just the thought of kick starting my bike (broke right leg) makes me cringe. Gonna have to get my kicks reading about all your adventures so go have some fun!!!
