  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Busted my Gas hose tank connection

Grogg88

Husqvarna
C Class
So, i busted the red little gas tank connection, on the "in tank pump" ( you connect the gas hose to that one, The article 8000 B0250 is " Pipe ", does anyone know if the connection is included? Or do i have to change the entire pump? ( ****************************************!!Crying!#####?!?****************************************!!)

Husky also has one now made from aluminum, there is a thread w/part# here somewhere. It's a little bit less than the ZipTy one if Ty doesn't have one in stock.........

My dealer here in sweden couldn't find a husqvarna part nr. He gave me a nr to a sherco dealer, so problem solved :-) If anyone knows the husqvarna partnr please tell

For future reference, the Sherco connection was same as original, but white. It costed me 50 euros.

It was hell of a job the get the old connection out!! The way i did it (after i had tried to pull it out for 30 minutes) i broke the connection, then it was easaly done to peal out the steel lockigt ring with a screw driver. Then i took a m10 french Wood screw and screewed in by hand, then i pulled out the remaining connection with the 2 o-rings.

This is not a recomendation!! Its just how i did it

MY11-MY13
It's a 10 minute job (for 2). Unscrew retaining plate with proper torx tip driver, pull out elbow install new elbow reinstall retaining plate. I just swapped my ZipTy elbow fitting from my 2011 TE310 onto my 2013 TXC310R @ 10 minutes and its done.

PS for reference instead of focusing on removing the hose from the tank end fitting , its a helluva alot easier to pop the QD off the throttle body and pull the hose with the tank.

Retaining plate?? On the 2010 you have nothing. Just a plastic connection with a stainless super locking plate from hell and two o- rings

Elbow gas tank connection from Sherco, same as TE 250 2010, as sayd before, may not fit newer bikes

I just broke mine on my 2013 last night:mad: I was aware of its short commings, I had it all back together fine , but lifted the back of the tank just a touch to look at something and snap. Zipty on its way to me
