• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bubba. Unadilla. Pathetic.

To be fair, Dungey fell... twice.

Stewart just doesn't care about MX right now. He's out of the points. There's really no point in him being there. His heart doesn't seem in it.

His heart hasn't been in it for years. It took a while, but his skill has finally caught up to his heart.

Stew is riding for free if you remember back to his starting point with SUZ... No one commits to riding a season for free except amateurs ... It all seems pretty baffling to me ...

There's nothing baffling about it in my opinion. I've been a huge fan of his since he was riding 125's. His downward spiral began exactly when he started showing up on reality TV. He's not "hungry" anymore... he's been to the top and he's no longer willing to put in the effort to stay there. It's time for the next hero. Bubba is history.

I'm NOT surprised at his riding either ... Why is he riding for free?

Because he's desperately trying to remain relevant. Cripes, even Joe Gibbs kicked his ass out in less than a year. He needs to seek out and land a job as an "expert commentator" on the Speed Channel.

That's sort of what I was thinking also ... There is no other reason to work for free other than to prove yourself ( as in the case of a young person trying to break into the business world), you really are doing it for fun and you really do not need money (not very likely), or you are trying to stay in the game on some level ... The latter seems to point at SUZ just sitting back and watching what happens, but again, no paycheck seems totally out of context here.

Stew had a bike with a gold frame ... he should sell it if he needs money :)

uh, Stewart asked to leave JGR.

The crash ... Can't really tell what happened other than the rear end kicked way-out on that suz ... looks like it bottomed out and kicked badly ...
He was still trying to ride it as he nose-dived in the last jump face ...

Judging by the way he walked off, he's hurt again ... Maybe his left wrist this time ... With only 2 races left, the Stew is cooked ... He's sitting in 9th place overall now I think ... Probably loose a couple places if he does not ride any more ...

Time to talk sx for him ... Maybe he has a suz SX deal ... maybe not ...

That's not the word from some of the guys at the JGR shop in Huntersville.

Stews' own words on the divorce didn't add up ... Riding for free does not add up either ... His riding looks pretty much as ~expected ...

Could it be that he is still under some kind of contract and taking money would violate that contract?

Maybe ...who knows? These guys are so closed lips (or BS talking) on most any subject, any conclusions are not even as good as an educated guess unless you are somehow connected ...

My guess is he is still getting a paycheck from JGR and if he takes money from somewhere else the JGR money will end. Every chance he gets he says that he is only out to have fun. I suspect he is being coached by lawyers on what to say and do. Not that I care one bit... It's just food for thought

is that a rebull helmet hes wearing?.........he aint doin nothing for free except going to the toilet. are those Nike boots.....Fox gear ($$)??

And of course, they wouldn't have reason to be bitter since he left them after less than one season...
Actually, these are NASCAR guys I know. They could really care less about Supercross so it's unlikely they would have anything to be bitter about.

Except team pride.

Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. We'll never know. Doesn't really matter. Stewart's deal with Suzuki is for SX. It seems pretty clear to me he just rode MX to get a good feel for the bike, put some time on it, get it tweaked to his preferences, etc. He certainly started the season off great. He should ended his season with the hand injury and let it heal well.

Most of these team don't go out there to loose ... At the start of the season, he was gonna win all the motos and be champ and have a perfect season? Seems like such a long time ago and he fell so short ...

Riding the MX season on a new bike, no base salary(only his sponsor money apparently), risking injury (and he got injured), just does not add up to preparing for a sx season ... js7 himself proved you cannot bring a SX suspension-tuned bike to an MX track, and I'm sure you cannot bring a MX suspension-tuned bike to an SX track so riding here does not do a great deal to prepare for SX other than he was on the bike ..

In any event, maybe stew can comment on the differences in the taste of the dirt between the tracks he tried to ride on ... Other than than, it was just amateur hour for this guy ...

Stay tuned, Stew can do it all without even trying ...

I don't care, I like Bubba. Also like Reed, Dungey, Double D, Dean-O and K-Roc. However, lately is does seem as if Bubba has become the real life version of Ricky Bobby in that he either wins or crashes trying to win.
