• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

BRP Handlebar clamps/ handguard mounts

Suamico SD

Husqvarna
AA Class
I was sick of clamping more stuff to my bars with them getting more and more cluttered. I put on a set of the BRP bar clamp/ handguard mounts. WOW! want a great product. It works way better and looks super pro. My bike is almost perfect, I may need to sell it soon.

I'm guessing he means these triple clamp mounts...

why is that. Use that type of system for years with great results.

Kelly,
I guess its the fear of the unknown.
I just feel that I would not want to stress the top triple clamp in a hard fall. Don't know really.
On another note I am impressed with your setup on the TE511.
I am actually going to look into that setup.
Could you post a couple of shots from different angles for me ?

This is what I got, I'm out of town so I can't send any pics till sunday, sorry.
Those work very well- I had the same set up on my ktm in the "BONZ" variety. They look great, cleaned up the bars, and added alot of stability to the guards. I would have swapped them to my Husky when I sold it, but they did not fit (though, could have swapped lower bar mount). I then got the Cyrca CRM for the Husk, which though not the same accomplishes the same just not quite as cleanly.

Ordered some and recived today leaving for race tomarrow. Holes are too close together to fit on the handlebar clamp, now I'm scewed for the race.

I figured it out... wait for it.........:banghead:
Suamico Sd Must have swapped his lower handelbar clamps... maybe he swapped out the stock ones prior to the BRP's.. Cause I went back and looked at BRP's site: they sell only ONE part for all bikes but list them for all bikes specifically like a 09TE450- so if you select your specific bike you'd think all the parts listed will fit. And with Suamico SD having them - I assumed they'd fit (unlike my BONZ)... But BRP states they fit all 39-41mm spacing- so BRPs fit KTM's (look at the spacing on my old KTM and Suamico Sd's Husky- looks about the same...) I measured MY Stock handelbar clamps on my 09TE450 andy they are about 50mm center to center...

SORRY Benriding They won't fit! http://www.brpmoto.com/products?pag...page.pbv.tpl&product_id=2174&category_id=1552
You'd have to get lower handelbar mounts that would be compatible with your bike and the BRP's....

You can take parts off my bike for the race- hopefully my stuff will fit:doh:
Return the BRP's and get a set of Enduro Engineering or Cyrca CRM's- , just stop by Halls and get a set on the way to the race, they have handelbar clamps too if you wanted to convert for the BRPS.,. call tomorrow, tell them your issue, and have them set aside all the right stuff for ya

or use mine, either way stop out and burn in my trail in the am:popcorn:

Sorry if i caused confusion. The lower bar clamps were on the bike when i purchased it. I assumed they were stock. I guess not.

Called BRP and they actually machined some lower bar clamps to fit my bike, awsome cust.service I had a problem and they worked with me to fix it!

It's probably not any more stress on the top triple than you get when you bang your bars the ground in a hard fall. That force still transfers to the bar clamp.
