• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It was disappointing that nobody from Zip-Ty was there in the Pro race. Casselli ran away with yesterday's race too

In Woodschick style a story in multiple posts .....
Thursday I stopped by BMP in Salem and stocked up on necessary supplies, then headed north on I-5 and I-205 into Washington. Took the first right towards Washougal...after a brief stop in Camas for supplies I found a prime parking spot.

I set up camp and waited for the rest of the team to arrive. The guys from Bend were due in Thursday evening and the rest of the Salem group would be coming in Friday morning.

A few shots of the motocross track....same stuff they rode in the MX National a couple weeks ago. WORCS added on some woods trails and grass track to create a 5 mile course lap times in the 11-15 min range for most riders.

TXC511 hunting Kawasakis ... My brother Mark in 50A ... he was dueling for 2nd, gaining on 1st when a flat front tire took him out with just over a lap to go. A riders did 4 laps, B and C did 3 based on the 50 minute format. He ended up 5th with the 3 laps.

Nice work by Bono ( a regular MX guy), BillF (hasnt raced in years if not decades) and Tom who is just learning the game ..

And we had on guy in 30+B on top of our strong 50 year old presence. Way to go Greg.

Nice getting out there and running em hard!! That course looks so nice, Brown mentioned dust in the outer trails, that was ok for you guys? Any Hcam? Good photos thanks.

We had a great time and BMP Husqvarna's support was great. Many thanks to BillF. A typical offroad event in the northwest is a sea of orange, but things were more balanced at this WORCS event with a wide variety of brands, including our 5 Husqvarnas.

For those of you who havent been Washougal is a great facility and conditions were perfect ... (if it has been raining much you cant stand up, though).

Coming up... on Monday after the race I took the TE250 on an "Adventure" ride over the cascades

Yes there were a few dusty sections but that is better than the impassable conditions out there if it is raining much.

I think the ZipTy Husky spoiler for that is Graffunder's wrist injury, he is (was) fighting for the Pro2 championship and still sits in P2 after missing your round.
(and of course BB leaving Husky to go green)

Craig is a friend of mine, he is a fast off road guy and fast motocrosser. His team finished 3rd in class 22 at the baja 1000 last year, he was probably cruising there at the end.

Great job out there, wish I was able to join you guys.

Later,
