• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Had a semi major issue with a bike. Took it to Bills in Salem. Not only did they do the job quick, before scheduled, but the bike is 100% leak free and runs better than ever. GREAT shop. Also Husky stepped up to support their great dealer (Bills) and the whole process was amazing. A manufacturer that stands behind the product and a dealer who rules. Awesome. I'll be getting my next bike from Bills where i got my first one. Great stuff.

Yes, Bill's offers a level of service and value that is extremely hard to find elsewhere, no matter what the product.

I will let Kelly tell that story, but the issue he had I have no sign of so it was likely an aberration. We actually compared notes in the parking lot at Bills when he came to pick it up while I was buying my TE250.

My TXC511 remains trouble free.

Is the 511 problem free streak over?

Not really, was running like a top when i dropped it off and is still running like a top. Something happened with the air filter, i think it might have been installed wrong from the factory. Ate some dirt. Rode it 150 miles in the last few days and still freaking LOVE that motorcycle.

I was thinking my next bike will be a left over new version of one of those in a yr or two. After i beat my 300 to hell. Then turn my 300 into a backup. I miss my old ktm 525, nothing like a big bore thumper.

I have had and loved a lot of motorcycles but this one is just about perfect for me. 1600 plus miles of trail and i still get giddy wanting to go ride it. The single most accommodating motorcycle I have ever owned. Maybe not the end all bike for racing but for sure one of the best do it all trail bikes i have ever tried.

And yes, Bills BMP RULES.

Yes. And what I like about Bill's is they will NOT take KTM's on trade or even Polaris (some have KTM engines) I LOVE IT!!!
