  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Bike weight WR 125 or 250

09 WR 300 Carbon skid plate, lights, trail tech and full of fuel ready to ride. 250 pounds
144 on the front 146 on the back

On a more serious note, I'll take a slightly different stance than Kelly. I love how light my bike is but if someone came up with one 20lbs lighter I'd be trying to find a way to buy one tomorrow. I haven't ridden a bike to light yet, sure a lighter bike gets out of shape easier but can also be forced back into shape easier and I'll take the maneuverability any day.

BINGO!

That is exactly the reason why I traded my 250 for the 125. I would much rather have a bike I can finesse through an obstacle rather then wrestle.

Great stuff Shane as usual. I also want the lightest bike possible.....I add all the extra weight needed.

My manual says 238, no fuel so the weights seem in the ball park, I think Husky is just honest about there weights.
I have a friend sell his KTM 300 because he said it was a tank, that being said he has a 450 Berg as well as a YZ250.

my wr 125 2008 is 237 lbs with fuel , stand lights, indicator, bash plate etc
(measured on bath rm scales)
9 litres = 6.3 kg or 14lb so 223lb
Kelly was riight then 06-08 WR 125 is about 4 to 5lb heavier than 2011

Thats 98.4kg- how did you weigh it ? thought it would be funny to see how the bath room scales may get used

I used a set of race car scales(intercomp scales). It did not have the headlight, dash or skid plate on it.
