• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Big international news- it finally really rained in SoCal yesterday********************************************************************************!!! 1 week prior to the Los Ancianos Tecate Enduro. wow perfect.

tested final set up today all good. will maybe turn my mix screw to fatter if temps stay low. only that. testing included the French guy riding a loaner CRF450X due to his Beta 300RR being in blown/rebuild mode. bike works better than I thought it would, all we did was check sag @ 100mm for him and raise the forks up to make it as low as possible and to keep the front quick. 3 clicks into fork Comp and 3 clicks LSCD on shock, HSCD was at 1 we put it at 1.5 out. all the settings were at 20. E start is solid and with the very plush trail ride suspension I think Cyril will do just fine on it. As long as he doesnt have to pick it up alot.......its tanky for sure.

I was just down in SoCal for thanksgiving and I hadn't realized how dry it is down there. I couldn't figure out why everyone was driving so slowly when the rain hit and my wife reminded me that it never rains down there. People up here in Northern California don't really slow down when it rains. You guys are deffinately lucky with all the great terrain. I was very jealous looking at all the desert hills. One of these days I will go riding out your way.
