• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Beyond Dullstroom and the Mudmonster---

Blazes

Husqvarna
AA Class
Been a while --a long while since i last rode North and East from Dullstroom. The normal day run from Pretoria to Dullies has just become soooooooooo Boring.
So the plan was --trailer my Hussie up to just past Belfast --and head North -North east on some forgotten roads and tweespoor roads--
But the Mudmonster must of hear of my plans and decided to open up on Frday over the area --to try and spoil my fun of course --
He must be getting fed up lately as i just enjoy the mud lately and am like a duck in water when mud is present. ::)
The View from my wooden Bungalow i stayed in --- :mwink:

Some of the Mud that was waiting ahead -- Unfortuanately not enough to have fun in 0 :(

As the day carried on --the mud grew less and less due to the heat of the sun --
The roads ahead were great fun to ride as the traction was awesome and the dust was no where to be found

Some shade to rest by a couple of Blue Gum trees-- and just smell the air - and enjoy nature again-

A view of the green fields and the trout dams that could be found at every turn on the road-- just awesome this time of the year --

And then some high speed stuff just to get the blood flowing again --

A overgrown trail --

A brook along the way with cool refreshing clear mountain water flowing --

A waterfall in the distance --one of many --

All in all a great days riding and enjoying the otherside of Dullstrrom towards Lydenberg --
Was great to get back after many years of not being there --
soon i will return and complete the Ivory route i started to do as well --time was not kind and i will have to leave the complete route for another day --- ::)

As always, great pictures of beautiful countryside.

Thank's WC ---Coming from someone who takes awesome photo's --yourself it is a great compliment.

Since last year i am busy with my bucket list --part of that is to ride at least one day over a week end and every once a month a away trip--so far all is going to plan
