• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bearings

Dustsucker

Husqvarna
AA Class
Tore down my bike for winter maint. last week. Had a few bearings here and there that needed replaced. I did not need the whole kit sold for either application. Found these guys online http://www.locateballbearings.com/?gclid=CIygq_D5s6YCFQpvbAod6xuTFw
typed in my info at about 5:30 pm fri. and got a call from them within 20 min.
and they took my order and they were pretty cheap. This seams too easy! I was worried they would send me some china crap. Tues. morrning they arrive and they are the same brand I orded(same as factory).
Just wanted to give big
If you ever need single bearings try them.

The problem with many bearings or other stuff (even aviation have issues with counterfeit parts) is even if they are marked just like the original, China body is everywhere.

Many threads here about engine blowing prematurely because of this, not saying the place you find is not legit but sometime having a better deal may hide a surprise.

There's also a bearing place off of Wilson next to Bend Plating called Applied Industrial Technologies. I was looking at their stuff online, www.applied.com, and they are able to do the same thing! If you need anything else, try them out and let me know if it's worth it. I will need to replace bearing at some point and will go this route too.

Also, I thought I was the one in Central Oregon that has a Husky. Did you know that the Motoshop is a dealer for Motosportz?

Just be carefull, cheap is not necessarly good.
80% of bearings in USA are counterfit.
Later George

And sometimes more expensive, just mean got extra ripped off

I guess the only way to be sure to get the real stuff is to buy from a reputable shop.

Sure, but what does the 'real stuff' mean? This world my friend, is full of it ...
