2010 Husqvarna TE250
Problem: Battery not charging
The Bike is a used 2010 TE250. Purchased it off of craigslist, previous owner installed a new battery. Needless to say it left me stranded in the woods and had to get it towed home.
After some trouble shooting per the service manual I thought I tracked it down to a faulty voltage regulator. I checked the generator (stator) per the manual and its within spec’s of .6 Ohm’s when I test it. Ordered it on line…..
After installing a new voltage regulator, the battery still isn't charging.
I cleaned all the connections that I could find on the bike, sprayed them with electronic spray cleaner. Cleaned the grounds….Still not charging the battery….you can watch it drop as you rev the engine, its under 13V.
Today I threw in the towel and road it to my local Husky dealer, Motorsports Nation in Waterford CT. The service manager was too thrilled with having to work on a 2010 husky. Said he didn't have any manuals/parts microfiche or access to reliable parts distribution. I wanted him to trouble shoot the bike for me. I even brought my own service manual for them to use as a reference. he suggested I bring it to a dealer that services “old” husky’s …..
Needless to say its still there…..I’m going to give them a week and then go pick it up.
In the mean time anyone have any suggestions?
I've read several other threads and tried some of those suggestions with nothing.....

Is there anyway to test the generator output while the bike is running?….not at the battery but closer to the generator?I've read several other threads and tried some of those suggestions with nothing.....
