Hello! First time poster here.
I am 5'10" and 140 lbs. I'd call myself a casual trail rider. I currently have a 2008 Suzuki DRZ-125L. The bike is really easy to ride but I'm a little too big for it - it's more for a person just learning to ride and/or a smaller adult. I was thinking about getting a trail bike such as a CRF 230. But then I saw some ads on facebook for blow-out specials on 2013 Husqvarna's and I found a post from some guy claiming to buy a 2013 WR 125 for $3,500. That's actually less than a CRF 230 and is a much lighter bike which I find appealing. I called two local dealers and both were really confused about the pricing and promotion. Neither were aware of the promotion which sounds very odd to me since it is all over facebook. I think there must me a communication breakdown between corporate and dealers. So I have two questions:
1. Would a WR 125 be a good bike for a casual trail rider like me? Do you have to run these like 125MX bikes? I once had a RM 125 with amazing power (for me) but I found it pretty intimidating.
2. Anyone actually bought a Husqvarna under this promotion? What price should I be looking for? Basically, there is no way I can afford a $6,000 dirtbike. But if I really could get one for $3,500 I could swing it.
Thanks and this looks like a great community!
