• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Baja Husky Ride Report

There was more video than that of Davids and someone is not sharing it. Cut loose and brake it down...

Taking Video and enjoying it at home on your TV is way easier than posted it on here that's for sure.
If it was as easy as posting pics I'm sure a lot more would do it.
:D:D

Sorry JimO,
I did get the wrong Jim. :busted: Thats ok right? So, Are we all healed up enough for another go of Baja? I am ready! :D

No problem Palmer. We need to ask JimB if he and his 1/2 ass is okay.

I'm ready for another.

We where going to do another ride in May, but with this 'hybrid' flu stuff, and the US State Department now recommending all visitors to Mexico take Tammiflu, and given its a strain of flu never seen before, and given that its in baja.....sadly we have to be conservative and post pone the next ride till late June/early July.

I have a 2 year old at home. No way i can justify possibly exposing her. However remote that is.

Maybe in the coming weeks we will have more info and know the risks, but right now, info is changing by the hour. Its just too much of an unknown.

Maybe its time to plan a trip to the Husky Memorial in the Mojave? :applause:

This report would be a heck of a lot cooler if Coffee would cough up at least a few of the bazillion photos he took! :D

Husky Memorial Baby****************************************!!! I can lead a group through the Inscriptions and to the monument. They just had a ceremony for a 15 yr.old out there not long ago. He'll need to be blessed by the "King" and I can feather dust George's bike again****************************************!

now I need more Elvis cologne...........

Say when....... For those who haven't been there, it's a great ride and then lunch in a real living ghost town****************************************!!

I know almost all the trails out there. I have rode those trails A LOT for the last few years. Just let me know when and I can plan some epic rides around there.
