• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks, there were a few gentlemen I didn't get to talk to very much, unfortunately. I sat right across from Clete at breakfast that morning, I was probably thinking about java. Cool beans!

Yep, same here. The 2 guys in the first photo with Jules (grey shirt with purple bandana, and the guy kneeling) are both referred to as Mystery Guy because I can't remember which one is Larry and which one is Jim:confused:

I'll help out. Larry in the grey, in front on one knee John his son, other side of Julio AKA Jules is JimO.

There you go.

Gary AKA part of the A S S family smart, wise, dumb you get the picture.

Good photo of George

Dam,
That is a great photo. Almost worth enlarging. Hmm, sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the photo shopping it, JimO. Hows the cheek? Not to sore still I hope, that looked pretty nasty. No need to add color to that photo.

Palmer,
Nothing wrong with my cheek, it was my eye brow that got beat up a bit.
c-ya Jim

Maybe the "cheek" Palmer speaks of is the rather large one that belonged to the other Jim...now and forever known as "Half-Ass" :busted:

Just a guess...:D

Hey, JimO, say hi to Nick for us, will ya?

Yeah I got ya, I'm not really a brand snob and I appreciate the design and engineering of many different brand It's just that Huskys have always been my favorite-at least for most applications.
That doesn't mean I'm going to put a rainbow in my signature though.:D

Hey Woodsie,

No one brought a video cam down to Baja eh ?

That seems kinda of strange in this day & age...

Less chance of incriminating evidence showing up at inappropriate times and places.:D
