• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

While I'm here I wanna say thanks a million to George and Mike for putting this together, that was a major undertaking for two guys to organize something like this and to watch over all of us renegades**************************************** Thanks again guys. It was great to finally put faces to the names and ride with so many cool and fun people on these beautiful bikes****************************************! I had the time of my life, meeting and riding with all of you and I salute the people that came from so far away to have some fun in the sun. It seemed like there was a new adventure around every corner and we all came up smiling at end of every trail. Hope we can get together again sometime.

hola all **************************************** :)
An introduction and hopefully succesful post with uploaded pics. This is Roger from the ride. For those not sick of me bragging yet about it, the one on the 610 that came all the way from Ct., Thats the state of "Connecticut" for all those left coasters not used to seeing those intials too much. ( or those non husky riders ;) )
I have to say AGAIN, thanks SOOO much to Mike and George for setting up this epic get together and making it totally worry free with all the support, chase trucks etc. And especially Coffe, Blake's dad, and Dave for taking care of chase duties. It made it so enjoyable having NO worries about "what ifs'" :)
The whole group was just awesome to hangout with and enjoy our special Husky jaunt with also. It's pretty unique to have such a large group with every person being so cool and fun to be around.
Also a special thanks to Armin and Jamie for taking P2 in the miles to get together "event". 2,600 miles one way is STILL a pretty damn good effort. :applause: For those keeping count. Ct. to orange county where I meet up with my buddy Curtis with the Husawateva  was just under 3,100 miles. by the time we rolled into san felipe 3,478 miles had passed on the Subie's odo pullin the 610 behind her. I should be leaving orange county tomorrow night ending up at home sunday or Monday totaling somewhere around 6,500 miles round trip not counting the actual riding.
And Armin and Jamie, George was already talking today about maybe a ride in may that would include Ojos, San Tamos etc. After riding those areas back in Oct. with my buddy Curtis I can tell you, if you guys can make it I PROMISE it will be worth it and MORE than make up for that rocky mess of a road we "enjoyed" in the middle part of this trip. If I buck up and make it to that one, you guys better drag your two bikes on down as well.:D
OK.. I'll shut up now and post some pics .. ENJOY ****************************************

also.. how could I forget.. ??? A "sorry" to Jim, I believe it was, or "half ass" as he's known now for sideswiping him in the first 10 minutes of the ride. thanks also to Bob for donating his spare clutch lever to me that I snapped in the process, to Mike for sweeping and helping me get going with said snapped lever, and to George for installing it for me as I was still too upset with myself for being "that guy" :banghead: to even see straight and do anything on my bike at that point.

A few more pics :)

I would like to give a special thanks to EVERYONE who helped me when i crashed (SUZUKI DRZ). You guys were on point and kept me from taking my boot off!. wothout you guys it could have gotten messy, i was in a little shock, so i dont quite remember who was there but THANK YOU ALL!

and thanks again for being so gracious at the fact that i showed up with the WRONG bike, but hey, thats all i got!!! thank you again
matt (Savage) :applause::thumbsup:

no prob Matt. Thats what us ridin brothers AND sisters are there for. It was worth it for the front row seat for your areobatics anyway :p. I was just glad that you were OK and you weren't the SECOND guy for me to run over in 2 days when you tackled that giant cactus with the ole DRZ. Also luckily Jamie and Blake were there also to slow people up and help watch for you while I went and picked my bike that fell over once again in the cactus on it's lil shorty 610 kickstand.

Now get that Suzuki listed for sale and get down to George's and grab that TE 250 sittin there ****************************************.. :D

For all of those who have download the photos I posted, I have received a CD of more photos taken by Palmer84one. I have updated the site with a zip file of his photo's, so if you want them you should go back and download them.

Thanks,
Blake

I HEAR THAT**************************************** :)

Still grainy and out of focus.

I didn't realize Blake started a ride report yesterday when I posted my pics in the other thread, so I'm transplanting them here were they should have gone in the first place.

This is also a good time to say thanks to all the guys that helped put this together, especially George, Mike and Dean. There are others that went above and beyond to help make this happen as well, not to mention all the riders that showed up. It still amazes me what a great group of people I managed to fall in with. You guys know who you are so, cheers.
