• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

McMillan Chase and Honda chase reporting 8x down at Rm 784 (San Javier). Rider down, reported to be unconsciuos (Justin Imhoff) local D-37 racer and first time in Baja racing with Honda on JCR B team.

Pray that he will be okay. Thats a really bad area to be hurt in. Out in the middle of nowhere...

I just heard this... stream 4 is the one to listen to...

I think its about 30 something kilometers from the highway to San Javier mission, on a very rough road. Turn off to San Javier is about 7 kilometers south of Loreto proper.

Lets hope they take full C-spine and neck precautions and get him packaged very well. Thats going to be a rough ride out of there in the back of an FD pick up truck, back to Loreto.

Johhny Campbell himself just came up on the air to talk with weatherman. Johhny said hes been down a long time. Damn, not good...feel so helpless up here in SD...wish I was there to help out

very happy to hear this,
My comment on Baja and other rally type racing.even if no one asked
I would race any of these events, but never on a bike, especially knowing that 800hp trucks are on the same course, behind you. Racing in a truck, car, buggy OK.
This is a huge event and is racing so I do have interest.
However any offroad open course moto race that has a winning speed average in the 60s (average********************************************************************************) is nuts and really with no real gain except a claim of a finish, again cars/trucks thats ok. That is a very basic idea of my thoughts on this type of racing. Glad justin is OK I hope all the competitors are OK and are satisfied with their own finishes or endings. my 2 cents.

That is great news about Justin.

If anyone has anything they want to post by all means feel free. Apparently 153x (Anna Cody) is about to finish for instance, read that somewhere...

I am continuing to look for info on 5x, 10x, 305x...

Apparently 10x is the only with no recent news at this point. And 305x seems to still be out there somewhere.

from tt:
Team 153X just crossed finish line. 2nd Class 20
151X appears to be about 100 miles behind.

Anna had to push the bike the last 3 miles! That's BAJA TOUGH!

........................

5x just finished -- also anna cody's team

I am not quite sure what the bike numbers are for all of these:
