• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have to let some of you warm weather guys know that this time of the year on the Northeast cost is some of the best riding. 60 degrees out, so your not dying from the heat. Leaves are all changing colors and there is a nice covering that makes all your riding a completely different experience. Even the stuff you have gone over 100x this summer just looks and feel new. It is just incredible. Yesterday and today were just perfect. My favorite time of the year to ride. Any other Northeast guys want to jump in on this?

It has been beautiful! I live for the Fall in the Northeast. I was out last Wednesday scouting a new piece of land for trails and the colors were peak! Only bad thing is.... archery season just started, so some areas are off limits until December(studs anyone!). It's interesting how sometimes with the carpet of leaves you can't see all the trail trash, so you just ride like it isn't there at all!:busted:

On the way out to Greenridge in western MD yesterday clouds hung heavy in the valley floors with temps showing a bit above freezing on the truck console. The temps were soon up to 70 under sunny skies.

It rained heavily there on Saturday, conditions were perfect Sunday. My views were similar to the pix above.

I came up to two 530 riders in a trail section that looks like it was carpet bombed by B-52s. They were pussyfooting around the huge mud puddles, the 510 did a beeline right through that chit. :D

90 miles of therapy for the soul ...

Definitely great weather.

Spent Saturday night camped in the desert and it was pure magic. 68F with 8mph wind from random directions.

Spent the weekend off Hwy 88 between Bear River Res. and Silver Lake in the Seirras. Fantastic riding and weather! 65-70 during the day and surprisingly little dust.

Of course when the trail is solid rock there isn't any dust to be found! And yes that is the trail..

Love fall for riding dirt but it means the street riding is coming to an end.

Went out over the weekend in Maine and NH with a few friends. Aside from a dead clutch (fluid leak) it was magnificent :applause:
