• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Damn, glad I'm not your gear bag! If you hiked down the same cliff we used to, that'd be one rocky landing (see my Avatar) :D

The gear wasn’t nearly as bad as that damn steel tank I insisted on diving with. What a pig!

Luckily I only made that hike a handful of times. I have a buddy that’s into fishing, so he’d motor me out and fish while I went down. I’d usually give him a couple of bugs for the trouble…

Yup..the big cliffs. You could do a count until the bag hit the rocks:D.
Still have that bag.

My Avatar is of my '99 XR250 header pipe after some work & my name comes from being an Aussie & lovin' Huskys.

I'm a dame what likes to ride in the dirt. The avatar is a picture of me on the TE450 August 25, 2007 just as the sun was going down on Bear Valley Road near Pine Valley, California. I am on a trail ride that will last well into the night with about a dozen or more members of San Diego Adventure Riders. We had a nice barbecue in the middle of the ride in the middle of nowhere at around ten in the evening.

It was my very first night dualsport event....but certainly not my last.

No Avatar for now, but my name comes from making plastic garbage bags most of my life & cutting them up for ribbons to mark the trails I have made & serviced since 1972. [4 trails about 10 miles long marked with different colored ribbons]. One day as I was walking to a group of riders around a campfire, someone hollered out "Bagman", & it stuck. I have friends that know me by that name only & can't recall my actual name.
