• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It is that time of year where we look forward to the long drive south through France to visit Auroux, a small village with a big Enduro Heart! I have not seen the entry list yet, but there are always some top class riders present. The lap is long and interesting, with a special test that usually takes several minutes to ride...

See you there!

Andy and the UK possie!!!

go Andy, ...get a go pro for this year pullleeezzee.. it is really easy, put the sticker and holder on the side of your hat, charge the camera on the computer, click it into the holder and press the button on the front till you hear beep beep beep.. then press the button on the top and your on camera!!

Paul Noble from the UK is on the water cooled 400. We don't usually need water cooling in the UK as it rains so much!!!

Andy.

I am not absolutely sure! I think it is for the best rider with an artificial hip! Might have been for 2nd place in the post 1982 over 250cc class... (I think I need to pull my finger out!)

Andy

Hey Andy, a couple of local guys here made the trip and rode the welsh two day recently, I see you went much better than they did;) ..they were on a twin shock swm and beta I think it was..Kristin, Steve and Mike (Mike rode a cagiva).

Hi. Yes the Welsh 2 day was good fun this year - even though I crashed on 2 tests on the first day!
I made the mistake of riding the special tests 'blind' as it was my sons Birthday the day before and I could not get away til late.
Not a good idea! As I tried to jump a ditch I forgot was there...

Got to speak to one of the Ozzie guys at a time check, they all seemed to be having bike dramas! Last I heard was the front spindle broke on the Beta!

Andy

yes I think it was tears all round from various issues. as you well know its hard to go to the otherside of the world and ride someone elses bike!

but its fun trying! they had a great time and loved every minute. I will be catching up with them this weekend at the Harrow 100 2 day vinduro woo hoo!

another mate recently went to the states and an ozvmx forum member loaned him a bike, Honda CR 480R that had just come from some serious shop work. it had no fork damping whatsoever and it was 3 clips too rich in the midrange.... he got 3 out of 3 holeshots but couldn't hang on to the front and faded thru the pack.... all he needed was an extra day to sort the forks but 20 mins before the race wasn't enough! the spare bike was a YZ but ithad no shock damping and that was too hard to deal with. But its still nice that he could get a ride after crossing the world isn't it.

the welcome and hospitality in the mighty US of A is always top notch
