• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I feel like a freaking Atomic-Moto chearleader but man the deals!!! I bought one of their AXO pressure suits first, liked it a lot. Got a pair of those Forma boots, awesome. The choices are limited but the prices are ridiculous. So here in the NW if you ride a lot you go through gear like CRAZY. mud and continued washing thrashes gear. With that in mind and wanting something to mount my helmet lights to etc I thought I would try one of the $29.95 close out Bell helmets. Got it yesterday and WTF... it's really nice? No, not top of the line by any means but hell I got it for a little over what shipping usually costs :D DOT and SNELL approved, good looking, nice liner, fits and feels nice. Slightly on the heavy side. Crazy man.

That's a nice looking helmet. I'm thinking about ordering a pair of those boots from those guys.

If I was smart I'd stock up on various sizes for Junoir's growing melon.

Anybody have experience with the Klim pants? I understand the quality is top notch but can't decide between the Revolt or Moab. I find most gear hot even in cooler temps and have concerns that the Revolt pant may not have enough ventilation.

Got a pair of the too :D Gobs of ventilation, more than other pants i have seen. Looks like they are made for hot. 9" zipper vent in the front of the upper leg area and air scoops under the pocket. Very nice quality.

check your PM.

The pants are nice. I almost ordered them but I found a pair of the Klim Dakers for $50 on a local shop. I think they are similar to what atomic-moto has. They are well built and the vents do work and they are really comfortable. They go over the boot nicely and do not grab on the buckles like my Thor Ride pants do. The only minor complaint is that the liner sticks to the Velcro on my knee pads but I could not notice it at all when riding.

I just wish atomic would have another tire sale. The dirt sharks I got for $10 each have turned out to be my favorite tire.

I loved the Klim Revolt pants I wore for 2 years, I ripped the crotch out of them at a work party (who knew they weren't made for logging :D) last summer and missed them big time for the rest of the summer. The were the most durable comfortable pants I had to that point.

I just got around to ordering a new pair and found that they offer the Dakar in TALL!!! :applause: No more high water Jake.:busted:

I will post some pictures and thoughts when I try out the new gear. I also got the Mojave jersey, Revolt pullover, and Inversion gloves.

Later,

Not a bag looking helmet at all, especially for that price. I see the only medium they have left is in blue. That would go nicely with the set of ProGrip Top Line pants I just won from them for subscribing to the newsletter. :applause:

What shop has Klim Dakar pants for $50?

just picked up a new helmet myself... Arai XD3 in their new color scheme. Not cheap however very effective. I've been able to run down the freeway at 80 mph with the peak on and not have any negative wind drama.

Wouldn't use it for racing but for dual sport riding where it won't get trashed will be ok.

I am fast becoming a Bomber as well.
Bombers are what Brian refers to his regular customers as and is kinda cool I guess.
Customer service and pricing are outstanding!

Bob Lampheres Honda/Yamaha. I got the last pair of size 34 though. There were lots of size 30 and maybe a 32 left.

KX forks? Bet that is/was a hell of a woods bike and then some.....

Just order a pair of boots after reading your other post on the boots. He asked where I heard about them and I told him from his number fan, Kelly.

Those Formas do look nice. If I didn't already have too many pairs of boots, I'd order a pair of white ones in my size.
