  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Apico rear brake lever

A Class
I was lured in by the bling but alas the pedal doesnt fit the 449/511 it may however fit the 250/310. Apparently Apico were adament that it would fit both bikes...... the rear pivot doesnt fit into the rear mastercylinder. The offset is wrong.

Had a similar line from Driven about their shifter a year or so ago, flat out said it'd fit until I showed them side by side, then it became "we're working on it..." no sign of anything materialising since.

Well hopefully this post will stop people wasting their time with a product that wont fit.

A doff of the cap to you sir...

Shame that someone needs to spend the money to find out stuff isn't as described because some manufacturers are just plain useless.

Any idea if it will fit a '13 TXC310R better?? I'm looking at those to replace my stock one but appears that Apico might not ship to the US. I haven't been able to find ANY other option other than stock for replacement. Thanks

The ebay shop I purchased the pedal off have said that they have sold 3 with out any problems. They are going to come back to me once the buyers reply with what bike they have.

When you compare the parts catalogue, the part number for the 449/511 is 8000H3084 and the 250/310 is 8000A7634 so theres definately a difference. Can you compare this pix with your pedal? You can see the offset is different to my standard pedal which is why id doesnt fit.

If it were me I wouldn't wait for a reply from their other customers. You have all the proof you need that the two parts are not interchangeable. They are obviously different design, different part numbers from Husky and add to that that almost no parts from the 449/511 interchange with any other husky. I'd be shipping it back and asking for a refund. Tell them to update their website to remove 449/511 from the fitment list. Also Husky doesn't make a TXE as shown on their site.

I'm looking to get one of these brake pedals but it seems I can't get it shipped to the US.
You still have it and do you want to sell it?
