  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Anyone selling a pipe guard for a 2011 wr300? :)

I've been looking around and I can't find a pipe guard for my pro circuit works pipe. If anyone has one for sale id be very interested in buying it. Thanks

Hi, P3 does a nice carbon pipe guard for the PC on the Wr250 & 300. Have you considered a bash plate with a pipe guard combo? Because if you haven't then Hyde do a really good one (although it's a bit painful & fiddly to fit). Over here there is also a manufacturer called FORCE off road products. They make great stuff. I have one of their bashplates with a pipeguard on my 300 & it's pretty solid & fits up/ takes off with one bolt so it's excellent for muddy conditions where you need to clean the bike a lot.

Hope this helps

Matt

For generic pipe guards, I just got a Tusk aluminum and like it. Very light for metal, only covers about 1/2 the pipe though.

hey matt do force make the combo bashy/pipe guard for the wr300 or were you talking separate items?

I'm looking at making a 8mm steel bar cage pipe for mine.
I like the force combo but still leaves the kick starter side of the pipe open unless u run a carbon guard as well.
However my main problem with my dinged up pipe was a big hit from rock or tree as I had tried to get over it and bent twisted the header. Now this is where the force guard would be good.
So maybe worth the $ and will be lighter than a cage type and maybe a half carbon guard on the kick start side..

Force accessories website has them for $299 plus get, I did find one on fleabay for $210 plus freight and it said it was the combo bash plate and pipe guard..
Not cheap but I run there radiator guards and very impressed with there quality,
Bloody hell every time I think... Yeah I can nearly afford a lectron I need to get more parts...
My home made 2mm check plate bash plate is nearly toast so mite have to beg the minister of war and finance for an early birthday pressie..

wonder if itl fit the gnarly pipe? if they do you can have me old B&B one when i get a newy. its taken some hits but still...well...bashplates i guess:D

I know it's been months... But, I was wondering if you ever found a carbon pipe guard for your PC Works pipe on that WR300? I've been toying with trying the PC Works, but I'd want a pipe guard too.
