• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone in/near North Carolina?

I'm in Calabash NC (southeast corner of NC) and have a TE630. Looking for riders. I am a rookie off road so nothing too technical.

Have you found any where to ride off road down there? My mom has a place in Calabash but I just assumed the off road riding would be limited and kinda boring.

I've found nothing in the local area. Yep boring for off road riding in this area, have to travel to ride. Francis Marion National Forest has a OHV trails that have lots of sand and is almost a two hour drive. There are some commercial places that I have not tried yet.

Trail Boss,
From where you are the closest, best riding is probably Uwharrie Nat. Forest... I'm about half way in Fayetteville area. We ride a couple of areas that are off limits ....military base....The Humvees couldn't catch us if they wanted to....Bad thing about flat lands.....hope you guys are dry and safe.......

Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while...I live in Locust and have a camp in the Uwharrie Nat'l Forest...I've been riding my '09 WR125 since 2009 but my first time there was on my street legal 1998 Yamaha WR400F. My profile pic was taken a while back at the top of Daniel. Good riding there if you know where and when to go...

I live between Marshall and Hot Springs in WNC, at the end of the road with access to Pisgah Nat Forest. Can host day rides if anyone is interested and not afraid of going around the gate
I haven't ridden anyplace else in almost 2 years! This month I get new tires on my F350 and going down state to ride and race. Looking to meet up at riding park, camp and races.
