  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

anyone else having back order issues with husky parts??

Irocleis

Husqvarna
B Class
So I ordered numerous plastic pieces and front wheel axle from halls over a month ago and I guess im getting shafted by this "move" thats happening between warehouses since husqvarna has been bought out. Is anyone else having issues getting parts right now?? This move is really screwing me since I've already missed the first enduro race in the area and it looks like im gonna miss the second. not to mention the down time on riding.

My high flow water pump is on back order, the guy said they were waiting on a shipment of them. All my gaskets, seals, o-rings etc got here about a week ago.

Yea I hope my stuff comes in soon... Just frustrating seeing everyone riding and races and I have a half built bike sitting up on the stand

...still waiting for upgraded starter gears set for 2 TXC 310'S @ 3 months ,however the engine parts on my '04 SM450R rebuild have been showing up "before" expected ???

Have had a rear brake caliper pin on order for over a month. Not a big deal as it is just a back up.

Yea unfortunately the stuff I ordered is a big deal and I can't ride until I get it, I can't express enough how frustrated I am with husqvarna right now. Looks like GG has all the technology rights and KTM the name, so if this is the start to a continues struggle with all the spaghetti huskys I'm probably just gonna sell mine and get a KTM bike.

Ya its bullshit. I couldn't believe it when they told me there is nothing they can do... I figured being one of the biggest husky dealers if the biggest they would have some sort of politcal/seniority pull to get the things they need or at the very least get answers. Guess I'm wrong.

Same I can get my hands on little things like mainentnce items, but no hard parts. I have had a water pump on back order for over 4 months now

This is one of those situations where a good dealer really helps (as does the Cafe Husky team). Understanding the interchangability of parts is one difference between a 'real' parts guy and someone looking up numbers and running a cash register.

Another option on the 310...take the estart out and kick it (this also applies to many estart KTMs).

There will still be those unique parts that will take some time to sort out, but much of any modern motorcycle is made by KYB, Brembo, IMS, Polisport, Mikuni, Keihin.....etc

I just got word my extra key for my TR650 just arrived. It took about 3 months. It is one of the smart keys with a security chip. Total pain in the butt. I hope everybody's stuff starts arriving.

I'm "supposedly" two weeks out on a bearing covered under my extended warranty-I've already been waiting over six weeks now.....

Me too....I;m going to put some old starter gears back in the bike.

...I was able to secure a freewheel bearing from a Honda CRF 250X(I think),cleaned up the surface of the flywheel w/440 grit sand paper and a little scotch brite-but the gears are still worn funky. After going to .006" 0n the compression relief side of the exhaust cam ,they are starting quite easily with the kicker so the electric is not too much concern for me right now... which is a good thing because I really don't want to use the starter until the new gears come in.
p.s. I am not getting rid of any of my current Huskys because of the lack of parts...I even started my new project..'04 SM 450R and those parts have been readily available!?!
