  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Anybody know a dealer that has a 09 -10 CR125?

+1 to what Norman said.

Only difference between the 09 and 10 WR125 and the CR125 is the ignition and rear wheel. WR125 in north america comes set up with just the number plates from the CR with the wiring harness, lights, and computer in a box. Just pull your kick stand, put a tubless tire setup in the back, swap ignitions, and you are equivalent to a CR. If you swap wheels out for a 19 rear and add the tubliss system and now you are a couple of pounds lighter than the CR.

Get one John and you won't be sorry.

Hey john01, Look in the classifields on page 2, there is a 09 wr125 for sale. It's mine and I'll bring it to South Carolina for you. Have the cr power valves in a bag.
John.

US/Canada spec WR's come in XC trim with a MX front number plate. The enduro kit (lights, harness, computer) in a box.

White Number plate can still be seen on the bike.

The 09s came with the 50mm closed chamber forks. The 10s are coming with 50mm open chambers. There is also a $750 rebate on 09s which should make it more appealing IMO.

Man I like seeing new bikes in the crate! Yes ScottyR the search is on, I have a lead on a used 09 at this point and a possible new discounted 09. Heck maybe I'll take an 09 Wr and sell him my 08 CR.

Hey guys just got off the phone with a couple of dealers today. The first one has a new 2009 CR 125 in a crate at his dealership. The second dealer said "yes Husky did in fact ship 09 CR125's to the US and 2010's will be comming." So which is it anybody know for sure? I questioned both repeatly saying are you sure they are 09/10 CR and not WR's. The dealer that has the in the crate 09 CR125 said "yes 100% sure white frame 09". The other dealer that said 2010's CR125 are comming to the US also said "yes to 09 CR's but he's out and yes 2010's are comming for sure". So.......true or not true???

My dealer said there were '09 CR125's but he only took WR125's. I thought Krieg had an '09 CR125?. I have a hard copy of the '10 US Husky brochure and it shows TC250 and TC450 as the only MX models. It also states that info can change at anytime.

Krieg had the 08 CR same as me. Yesterday I was told no 09/10's CR were being sold in the US so I am a just a little confused; nothing new there LOL.

Nope. Mine was an '09. Evidently, I was one of a very few in the USA to buy an '09 CR 125. All that said... my CR 125 was definitely a 2009 model... and boy did it scream!

Dang I thought it was the 08 that's good to hear! I have been told they didn't exist in the US...COOL! The one dealer that has one in the crate must think I am some kind of nut case saying"are you sure it's an 09 CR over and over LOL". So your's was on the new white frame, so how did it handle?

There were less than 10 2009 CR125s retailed in North America. The rest were sent back to the factory and re-shipped to other distributors around the world according to my contact in Husq NA. This is what I was told when I tried to buy one a few months ago.

2010 CR125s will NOT be imported into NA. They are not even on the price list that was given to dealers and they are not in any NA brochures.

Man ScottyR I was feeling pretty good until I read your post. Maybe thats why the dealer that has the 09 in the crate wants so much for it.

I was STUPID for giving mine back. Our '09 CR 125 was a beast. It was competitive in every sense of the word. I HATE the fact that I had to put the kid back on a pumpkin...

... I'm hoping he'll bond to the 2010 TC 250 I bought this week. Anything to get him back on a Husky and off of a Pumpkin.

Oh... and by the way... If Husky elects to keep the self-imposed ban on importing USA CR's...

STUPID!

Yeah I am waiting to read what Cody has to say about your TC. My son is sold on the CR125 after posting faster lap times on it than he can on his 505 Pumpkin.
