  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Anybody know a dealer that has a 09 -10 CR125?

Hey guys my son likes my 08 CR125 so much he's selling both of his 08KTMs SX 450 and SX 505 to get one. So anybody have any leads on an 09 or 10 CR125? We live in VA but we are willing to travel or have one shipped. Thanks, John

From what i have been told Husky did not import any 2009 and are not going to import any 2010 CR 125 into the USA only those WR things .You know those 125 that people spend time tunning ,jetting and changing pipes on to run like a CR .Plus wanting a bigger tank for .Boy those comments should get some up set it all good just having fun
Lets hope for a change because i need a new bike ,might have to go WR

I just sent an email to Husqvarna asking them why no CR's for the US. I will let you guy's know if they answer my question. Looks like I now need to find a left over 08 CR. Any leads on one would be greatly appreciated.

Get an 09' WR revalve the suspension, send the top end to EG and install a number plate and there you go...The wr transmission works well in mx.

Thanks NWRider. gestion01 so EG can make the WR run like a CR? And if you know is the top end the only difference? I am sure he would be sending the suspension out so thats not a big deal. I was just under the impression from WR owners there were/are some other differences that makes the two bikes best suited for theire intended rolls. My son only cares about speed on a MX track as he doesn't ride in the woods but if the newer WR's (09/10) work better than my 08 CR then thats all he needs to know; me too for that matter. I did read a post that states the 09 WR handles and feels better than the older models so anyone else feel the same? Thanks guys.

Get a WR and put in a CR ignition and you have the same bike with the exception of the 18" rear wheel on the WR.

The WR and CR have the same tranny and suspension already.

yep, went from an 04 CR125 to the 09 WR125. The 09 is a lot better IMHO. Motor wise the WR makes better bottom and CR more top.

So to get a WR to perform on a MX track can be as simple as a suspension re-valve and a EG top end mod? Or will it be more involved? Thanks for the info I don't know much about the Wr's and just didn't want to get one only to find it can't be MXed.

Haa...That's why the tranny and suspension worked so well on an mx track.

Watch a Cross Test from any WEC or European Enduro and you'll know why WR/CR suspension is the same. When A.C.E. revalved my '09 WR125 suspension, Harvey said valving was same as CR125. Like Scot said put a CR ignition and 19" rear wheel. Probably an '09 that never had the PV update would be even better.

Well this all sounds a little better, now at least I can expand the search for the 09 10 Wr125's. I assume a 08 CR ignition will work on a 09 or 10 WR and I can actually find one. I do wonder why they list the 09 CR's weight at 202.9 lbs and the 09 WR's weight at 211 lbs.

18'' inch tire, front light and skid plate....couple more pounds.

kick stand, pull axles, O-ring chain, Computer, light, wiring harness.

Same tank though :banghead:

Yikes I know he won't like a light on the bike! We better order up a solid black number plate if we go with the WR. LOL the tank part is the thing we don't mind after about 20 laps or so we are ready for a break! You woods riders are a tough breed my friend.

US/Canada spec WR's come in XC trim with a MX front number plate. The enduro kit (lights, harness, computer) in a box.
