As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Bakersfield, Ca- 9/12/09: JR Publications announced today the signing of Factory Kawasaki Off-road pilot, 21 year-old- Ricky Dietrich to their newly added rider agency/representation base. Dietrich, who hails from Snohomish, Wa, currently residing in the inland empire, has made a huge impact on the Off-road/Motocross scene over the past three years and looks to continue his march into the 2010 season with high hopes and a very promising future. Dietrich and JR Publications Owner- Jason Reed met last week to finalize their late 2009, 2010 plans. Ricky Dietrich who has two National Championships to his credit, including his 2006 WORCS Championship and is current and reigning AMA GEICO Endurocross National Championship as well.
"I'm happy to be working with Jason. He and I had discussed this awhile back and with my busy schedule and the path I've been wanting to take, I needed someone to start managing certain aspects of my program. We first met back in 2006 after my WORCS Championship and we've always kept in touch. He has done a fantastic job with WORCS and always seems to keep things in order with them on the PR side. I'm really looking forward to a long relationship with Jason and his new agency venture." said Monster Energy/Factory Kawasaki's Ricky Dietrich
"This is something I've been wanting to do for awhile. I worked with Bobby Bonds last year on a mid-season sponsorship and really enjoyed that side of the industry. I thought about it, planned ahead and made some adjustments to start my new program with rider representation. Ricky Dietrich is a very determined and driven rider and I am happy to be partnered with him. I like the way he is diverse in all disciplines with Off-Road & Motocross and realize he has a long and successful career ahead of him. We met last week and it seemed like an easy and perfect fit. I'm really looking forward to it." Jason Reed of JR Publications
Ricky Dietrich's 2010 plans include the Rocky Mountain MC/WORCS Racing series, AMA GEICO Endurocross presented by E3 Spark Plugs series along with select AMA Western Hare Scrambles, Monster Energy Supercrosses, Lucas Oil/MX Sports National Outdoor races & the annual ESPN X-games held in Los Angeles. This is all good news for the Washington born native as he looks to embark on another bright and very successful season.
