• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I sure hope so .I just bought one off eBay! The 14 husky had a 20mm rear axle while the KTM had a bigger one. Not sure if the 15 changed to the larger size and if they did do I just need the spacer or????

I know front axle changed size and have never got a real answer but it is my understanding you can put and older front rim on a 15 by just changing the rim spacers. That's what I'm told at least... I just can't confirm if the rear axle size changed from 14 to 15 on the huskys. Got a new takeoff 14 rear wheel with the tire for $400 delivered. Need to research front as well...

Rear axle on some bikes changed. KTM SX changed, so possible Husky TC changed. At the least you'll have to swap your '15 spacers into the 14 wheel to use it. At most you buy another set of spacers.

Think of it like the difference between '00 and '01 Husky rear wheels... '00 had small axle and spacers that pressed in the bearings. '01 has same wheel and bearings, but a larger axle that was the same OD as the bearings' ID and the spacer just fit in the seal. Different diameter axle and the same wheel....

From a KTM Talk wheel fitment thread.... This should apply to 14-'15 Huskys too.

"In 13 the rear axle got bigger on the sx and xc. In 15 the front axle got smaller on the sx and xc. Regardless, all you have to do is swap the spacers and any ktm wheel will fit on any bike from 04-15."

In 2014 atleast the front axle was different. I'll have to search for the magazine but they questioned the difference with the two bikes. Like you said, just need spacers so not a big deal.

Thanks much. This to me means just buy a set of spacers and throw in the wheel I bought and bingo a guy can do a five minute tire switch. Should be able to put spacers in and older front wheel on a newer bike
