• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How about a 250 SMR or 310. I think they've had these in Europe.

SM250R has been available in limited numbers for a while, built for Japanese market primarily. We've never had any for the UK as there isn't a market for it here.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was just asking because I'm looking at a used 08 TXC250 or possibly a new 09 TXC250. Just wondering if it would be worth waiting on both of them and seeing what 2010 offers.

That would be nice. I am sure they would sell well, just like how every KTM 2t sells out early. Instead I think we will finally see the new 250f. Too bad the 250f craze is over and dealers of every brand can't give those things away.

I would love to see a lighter 250/300 and maybe a 150 or 200. Realistically I would be happy with a tank that has a range of more then 30 miles.

New TE/TXC 250's and 300's based off the new engine..."X-Light." WR 200 and 300 in the new frame ergos! All with a minimum of 2.5 gallon tanks and factory options for larger ones.

? Wait a minute now, where did you hear that. I have heard possibly seeing a TE non street legal with new motor but I don't think we will see a new motor 300 four stroke anytime soon. WR 200?/300 in new frame would be difficult as I though that engine would not fit. Are you saying this is your wish list? I believe we will see the TC 250 but the new motor TE probably will not be until much later. Just my opinion/guess. I also think we will still see the old motor four stroke 250 for quite some time. It is dead reliable and really makes excellent power with the Athena kit. Come to think of it I don't know why I don't own one.

For me...wish list BRO wish list! I figure if I say it enough, it will happen in a couple of years.
Woah! If you are using that logic, then they will also come with KYB/Paioli forks (same as KXF)!

That is some nice wishing Fitness and I hope your close with your wish that might keep me from buying an 09 and wait for the 2010s

raisrx you already have enough Husky's

How about a 650 cc class FI engine with the TE610 gear box stuffed into the TE510 chassis!

I am thumping now! and I like it... Norm kept wishing for the 125 and he got it so you may want to see if he has any tricks. HSrider I think you would love the 310, it has plenty of power to blast you out of the turns and back up to speed while still being light and flickable. That was the biggest thing that impressed me for east coast riding. If I did not land the TE 450 I would be on one. Don't get me wrong I am as excited about the new motor 250 as anyone, already trying to build a 18 inch rear wheel just in case it has to be a TC. I am just a little nervous of it being that small of a package.
