  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Any new oversized gas tanks comming out specifically for the 250/300?

I hate the IMS one now for my 300 with the huge gaps between frame. Anyone heard of any rumors of any new tanks coming out thats flush for these bikes anytime soon?

I have emailed - IMS, Clarke and ACERBIS.

The response is that there are no plans to make a tank for this model of bike.

All I can think of is we do a pre-order list and get as many names on here as we can an post it across all the dirtbike forums.

I tried to retro fit my 92 360 tank but there is no way.

What about the 125 tanks? Anyone tried one?

Stu

Good idea Stu, if you guy's like Stu's idea hit the "like" on his post so we can count how many people that would be interested and get the ball rolling. Maybe we could get ClockWork to one for us.

i really hope you blokes can make something come of this as im sick of carrying fuel-plenty of fellas down under whod buy one i reckon!

I hate to be Debby Downer, but the WR250/300 is at the end of its life cycle and I wouldn't be expexcting a new tank. A friend converted his 2010 WR300 to 2000-05 plastic and tank. He was much happier with the stock 2.9 and IMS 3.2 gal from those years.

Norm do you or your friend know if the early(00-05) radiator shrouds line up with the late model side panels? Also could you get a picture of his bike for us?
