As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I learned Sel1 is the default setting (this is what the speedometer is reading when I switch the ignition on). But is this the soft or power setting? How does the engine behaviour change with Sel2?

To swop between maps the engine has to be warm (above 40 degrees I think) then you push the button for about 5 seconds until the dash shows the chosen map number.

But I do have one on my Gas Gas 280 Trials Bike
WowThat little switch is a must when in the wet soup.
No delay, it works right away.....Just have to remember to switch it
back to map one when you come to a dry section.
Oh mine has a little picture of the "Sun" for Map 1 and some "Rain Drops"
for Map 2. Just in case you forget....

Once in race mode and with the dual mode switch installed you have access to the standard race map (Sel1) and the softer, wet weather map (Sel2). I would suggest the wet weather map adjusts the ignition timing too as it really does take the edge of the performance on the 510, its noticeably softer than running with the lambda installed.

seredyns;32593 said:I think I got it, so only two maps:
sel 1 - race map - same map as with powerup resistor plug - this will be the default when the bike starts
sel 2 - wet map - same map as stock with sensor in and resistor plug out
