As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi guys, has anyone complete their emission delete process. I'm hoping that someone could share what individual hoses and parts needs to be removed? I'd prefer to remove instead of block. In Canada we don't have emissions compliance program or aircare, EPA so no need to keep it. I'm keeping the bike so resell is not a factor.
I know I'm asking a lot but would anybody mind taking a stab at listing the components that can be removed?
The more information the better.
Thanks a ton guys!![]()
I removed the EGR valve off of the head and plugged with an OEM plug and washer off of a 16' 450. Then I removed the plastic charcoal canister that is hidden in the frame between the radiators. This had three hoses going out of it. I removed all of them. For the gas tank vent hose, I used an OEM hose and plastic elbow off of a motocross model. Then there is the plastic thing on top of the transmission. This got removed along with all the hoses and such. I made a jumper wire for the electrical connector that went to it.
I had to carefully use a sawzall. It made a terrible mess.Wow. Can't imagine pulling out the canister was easy eh? What a pile of hoses and EPA junk.

No one? Really...
Wow, really eh. Expensive habit you have. LOL Love to hear you feedback after you take her for a rip in the trails and single track. Cheers!
It should run good just like the 2014-2016 models run. No major engine changes overall. Should be a good solid reliable bike.
