• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

was he surprised, i mean was he surprised that something that was made before him could be cool

that will wake him up to the newer is not way out in the future, just more refined as fas as ergonomics and plushness

thats dumb. id rather ride the bike i like than attract women drawn to a bike i hate. unless hes fibbing.
not that i hate harleys, just saying its weird. i know guys that ride bikes just to fit in or have people to ride with, when they would truly rather ride something else.

I rode a 99 Suzuki 1200 bandit. Not stock it was retuned from the 1100 GIXER it had in its genes. I could hang with any rocket but didn't fit in the group with the rockets. The Harley guys hated me. I was a lone rider. Not saying I did enjoy the ride. These youngsters on there rockets wouldn't go past 100/120 mph. I think they were shocked to see the bandit hang with them. I realize on the way to work it was playing with death. I found myself going 90/100 to stay ahead of the cars. Out of the way. It was time to hang it up or buy a plot. I was good on the bandit.

Some ride for the ride, some ride for the image, I'm in the rider category.
Now for the good story. Many years ago a beautiful young lady was selling cotton candy at the county fair. I just "happened" to ride a few wheelies down the dirt road in clear sight of the vending booth on my 250 Husky. We're still married today. Chick magnet = Husky with front wheel in the air.

My mint '85 s/s Monticarlo Carlo white in mint condition was a babe magnet. Any age babes loved that car.
My 98 husqvarna 250wr was a babe magnet.
